How we use your information

We use personal information where we have a lawful reason to do so. This may include:

Responding to enquiries and preparing quotations.
Arranging surveys, appointments, deliveries and installations.
Manufacturing, supplying and installing our products.
Processing and reconciling payments and maintaining accounting records.
Providing guarantees, warranties, repairs and aftercare.

Using photographs of our work where you have given us permission.

Depending on the circumstances, our lawful basis may be taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing our contract with you, complying with a legal obligation, our legitimate interests or your consent.

Who we share your information with

Where necessary, we may share relevant personal information with:

Our employees, installers and subcontractors.
Product suppliers and warranty or guarantee providers.
Banks, card-payment providers, accountants and professional advisers.
Trusted technology providers that support our customer management, email, website hosting and other business systems.
Regulators, insurers, courts, law enforcement agencies or government bodies where required or reasonably necessary.

We only aim to provide third parties with the information they reasonably need for the relevant purpose.

Installers and subcontractors should only use customer information to carry out the survey, delivery, installation, repair or other service for which it was provided.

Some technology providers may process or access personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection rules apply to an international transfer, appropriate safeguards will be used.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to operate may be used without consent where permitted by law.

We use Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use our website and improve its performance.

Where consent is required, analytics cookies will only be activated after you have given permission through our cookie controls.

You can accept or reject optional cookies and change your preferences through the website’s cookie settings.

How long we keep your information

We only keep personal information for as long as we reasonably need it, taking account of contractual, warranty, accounting, tax and legal requirements.

As a general guide:

Enquiries and quotations that do not result in an order are normally kept for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact.
Order, payment, invoice and accounting records may normally be kept for up to 6 years, or longer where required by law.
Warranty and installation records may be kept for the length of the relevant guarantee and for a reasonable period afterwards. Our guarantees typically last around 5 to 10 years, depending on the product or service.
Installation photographs used with your permission may be kept while they remain reasonably useful to our business, unless you withdraw your permission.

Photographs and telephone calls

We may ask for permission to photograph a completed installation for our website, portfolio or social media. We do not normally publish your name or full address, although we may mention the general town or area where the installation was completed. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw that consent by contacting us.

We do not routinely record telephone calls, although staff may make notes where necessary to deal with an enquiry, quotation, order or other request.

Marketing

We do not currently use customer information for routine email, SMS, WhatsApp or postal direct-marketing campaigns. We may still contact you where necessary about an enquiry, quotation, appointment, order, installation, payment, warranty, complaint or other customer-service matter.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:

Ask for access to the personal information we hold about you.
Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
Ask us to delete personal information in certain circumstances.
Ask us to restrict how we use your information in certain circumstances.
Object to certain uses of your personal information.
Ask for your information to be transferred where the right to data portability applies.
Withdraw consent where our processing is based on your consent.

We may need to verify your identity before providing personal information or acting on certain requests. Where we rely on our legitimate interests, you may also have the right to object to that processing in certain circumstances.

Keeping your information secure

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. Access should be limited to people and service providers who reasonably need the information.

Our products and services are not intended to be purchased directly by children under the age of 18, and we do not intentionally collect children’s information for marketing or account-registration purposes.
